The NRPP wants to put these rules into the US Constitution with an Amendment. They’re needed so the people making laws have no one in charge of them but the citizens that can vote for them. NRPP Candidates will follow these rules. We’re going to prove to the American People that you can win elections AND do the right thing for your constituents and country.

  • This is the issue of “Outside Money”. A constituent is a person who lives in a district/state represented by an elected official. These are the people that elected official should be thinking about when they vote on laws. They shouldn’t be more worried about what someone across the country wants. The people across the country have their own elected officials to speak for them.

Our country doesn’t allow people from outside the US to give money to campaigns. That’s for a good reason. We don’t want anyone but the people who live here to influence our elections. That rule should be the same for states and towns as it is for our country.

Elected officials speaking for their constituents is how Congress is suppose to work. Right now we are stuck with two parties that get their priorities from where they get their money. Both parties govern from the top down with donors being more important than constituents. This is how we stop that and give power back to the people.

  • This is a $58-$160 maximum per person depending on the minimum wage where you live. The NRPP is dedicated to policy and practice that provides for everyone. We won’t take any more than what a day’s pay would be for someone who makes minimum wage.

  • This is to ensure any information about voting interests is readily available to the public.

  • The NRPP is very much in support of political speech as long as we know who’s doing the talking. The same rules that apply to candidates need to apply to anyone that would speak for or against them.

The same is true for voting on questions instead of candidates. Voters still need to know who’s paying and interests they have in the topic that’s being talked about.
